- Anesthesia: The procedure is done under general anesthesia.
- Duration of the procedure: It take about 3- 4 hours for the procedure.
- Incision: Incision options include
- A circular pattern around the areola
- A keyhole or racquet-shaped pattern with an incision around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease (it is the most popular in our center)
- An inverted T or anchor-shaped incision pattern.
- The desired shape and size as discussed with Dr. Sharma is achieved.
- The nipple is relocated to the center of the breasts.
Of the different techniques, the one used to reduce the size of your breasts will be determined by your individual condition, breast composition, amount of reduction desired, your personal preferences and Dr Sharma's advice. |
